I received my first rejection letter from a Literary Agent. I was only asking for representation. I was not devastated as some people have felt over their own rejection letter/emails, etc.. I'm very hopeful and I truly believe there will be more and I'm not a quitter. This is just a small stone in my life's path of writing and I can't give up on it because this is really a talent from a higher power and I must continue. I think of it way... a restaurant...you may like a Japanese menu and someone else may like Indian. Either way there are plenty of literary agents out there who hunger for my book. It is just going to be a little travel time for me on the cyber highway to find them.
If we can all take a look at what we do with our talents and how we utilize them to either pay it forward or give it to the world: it then becomes a gift from each of us to the world.
